Ars Sorcery

* What it does

Ars Nouveau lets you write your own spells by chaining glyphs together. Domain is a glyph that takes everything you chained after it and turns it into something you have to survive: a sphere closes over the target, and whatever spell you wrote keeps going off inside it.

Anything caught in there is stuck with it until the dome runs out. You and anything you summoned are safe inside, so it is a place you make for someone else.

* Inside the dome

• The augments you already use reshape it: Amplify widens the sphere, Dampen shrinks it, Extend Time keeps it up longer, Accelerate makes it fire faster, and Sensitive turns it loose on the terrain instead of the creatures.
• The shell patches itself as it takes damage, but collapses once enough of it is gone, so tearing your way out is a real escape and not just a delay.
• It closes with a sonic boom and dies with a beacon shutting off, so you always know which way the fight is going.
